One of the creepiest films of the mid-aughts is apparently getting a sequel. It was announced today that Jeepers Creeper would be making it's way back to the theaters to scare movie goers. The original film was released back in 2001 and quickly became a horror classic, even if met with mixed reviews. The sequel, released in 2003 wasn't as warmly received but it looks like Francis Ford Coppola will be financing the third installment into the horror franchise, set to being filming early next year. Are you ready for more of the creeper?

Let's be honest, it's hard to convince people to fork over any kind of money for the once critically acclaimed director, M. Night Shyamalan, but I can assure you, this is worth it. The visit is without a doubt the best film from the director in recent memory, maybe even since 2002's Signs, but the director really hit this one out of the park. The Visit manages to mix elements of the recent successful low budget horror films from some elements that give you a bit of a Paranormal Activity feel with the same intensity that made the Conjuring so popular but the best part of the film is how grounded and realistic the scenario is, thus adding to the intensity. The formula results in a movie that builds fast and does what a lot of movies are unable to do, save the best for last. The last arc of the story feels like standing on a knife and for a horror movie in this day and age, it's only refreshing, it's actually scary. This movie is definitely one to catch while we make out way into the Fall movie season and might just put back M. Night in the good graces of movie goers. Check out the trailer below and make sure to see this movie now! The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder, made some comments about Marvels phase two close out film, Ant-Man, that was released this summer and he doesn't seem very fond of it. He described the movie as "flavor of the week," even going on to say, "what is the next blank-man?" This is a bit surprising from the director who's usually out of the press for anything outside of talking directly about his own projects. In an interview with The Daily Beast, he also speaks about D.C.s plans of moving the movies ahead with the description of being "more mythological, then, say, bubblegum." This certainly isn't the first recent spat between the two big studios either. Whether Snyder wants to admit it or not, Marvel's plan has worked pretty well since 2008 so hopefully BvS lives up to all of the hype surrounding it when it releases next year. You can read the full interview with The Daily Beast here and hopefully we get to continue to see great super hero films before they end up like Westerns, as so predicted by director Steven Spielberg.

While doing an interview for Spanish radio station, rac1, Benecio Del Toro very casually revealed his role in the Star Wars Universe and if this is all true, this it's going to be big. His statement, from translation courtesy of SW8news, reads, "Ehhh…. the thing is…. They don’t let me talk too much about it, I’m like the villain." Personally, nothing is funnier to me than the fact that a leading antagonist role in what could be the next biggest trilogy to one of the biggest franchises out, might have just slipped out. All in all, lets hope the news if right because Del Toro (seen from the Marvel films as The Collector) is a fantastic actor. Star Wars Episode 8 will be released May 26th, 2017 and filming for his role will begin next March.
