After waiting nearly the whole year, the beginning of the final Avengers film as we know it is now here and boy oh boy is there a lot to unpack. Watch the trailer and look out for a discussion post about all of the hidden secrets and moments later on.

It's been a long time coming but the wait is almost over! It looks like we will be getting the official teaser trailer for the upcoming 2018 Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity War tomorrow morning during the Good Morning America broadcast. Whats more, it sounds like the trailer will be different from the SDCC footage shown to attendees earlier in the year as well, so they're in for a treat too. (Blogger update) Sorry for the lack of post, I spent the holiday with family and ended up getting very very sick so I haven't had the energy to do a thing but I'm back to it now and we will keep the ball rolling!

Justice League finally hit the box office over the weekend the domestic numbers are less than favorable. DC's much anticipated super hero team up fell 14 million short of its projected earnings in America, bringing in just about 93 million in profit. While its world wide total was around 279 million (down from the 350 million projected worldwide), this puts a lot of DC plans into serious jeopardy. Warner Bros and DC have had a hard time finding a direction for their film universe. From the strange announcement that they will create a solo film starring another actor as Joker to Ben Affleck's constant back and forth with the future of his Batman tenure and already rumored replacement, DC has been unable to find stable ground and they are already several films into their planned DCEU with quite a handful on the way. Their trump card of course is Flahspoint in which they could upend and change everyone with the exception of Ezra Miller but at this rate, will the fans keep coming to the theater to watch films that are fun but aren't very good? It also certainly didn't help with the rottentomatoes score fiasco in which questioned whether or not the score was intentionally held back after the notoriously low Batman v Superman score came out several years ago. Regardless, Justice League looks like it's going to be in as much of a tough position as the lofty and expensive Batman v Superman was, needing to gross around 800 million before it can see any real profits. To it's benefit, there is nothing big coming up with the exception of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 15th but we will have to see how steep the drop is in the upcoming second box office weekend which has generally been harsh for superhero films on both DC and Marvel's side.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has an official world wide release date and it is just in time for the holidays. The latest Nintendo mobile title will be hitting Android and iOS devices on November 22nd, which is fantastic news if you're like me and getting ready for a small break from college this upcoming week! You'll get ready to trade items with your friends and explore a whole new angle of the Animal Crossing world this Wednesday. You can take a look at the official trailer below.

I honestly can't believe I am saying this and anyone that knows me knows that this news comes at a surprise but Justice League is not as horrible as it ought to be. It is, in fact, significantly better than Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad while not quite hitting that level of awesomeness that Wonder Woman managed to achieve. The movie starts off pretty rocky with some poor special effects and forced jokes but once it finds its rhythm, it really flows quite well and all the additions to the roster are fantastic, each unique and a bit funny. Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg are all great fun and work a lot better on screen than I think any of us would have expected and (Spoiler alert) the return of Superman is easily one of the best fight scenes in the film. While there is a lot of good in the second and third acts of Justice League, one of the weaker elements on the film is the one note Steppenwolf but to DC's credit, an overwhelming amount of Super hero films (both DC and Marvel) have had some horribly lame villains over the years and Steppenwolf certainly earns a plaque. There are a lot of fun moments and the scene at the end paints a very exciting path lined up for the future of DC films (but more on that later). All in all, DC might actually be able to create a decent universe if they keep up the trend of making their movies a little more lighthearted and listening to their fans. So, in all seriousness, this is a fun movie to see.

Battlefront 2 is having one whirlwind of a week and it hasn't even hit store shelves. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is set to release tomorrow but EA has been embroiled in a PR nightmare this entire week. From the controversial micro-transactions that are now being investigated in Belgium for gambling (alongside Blizzard's Overwatch), EA could not be having a worse pre-launch for what was a highly anticipated game. In another stunning development, EA has suspended microtransactions all together for the moment, even issuing a statement to their fans and the gaming community on their official page. For the moment, players will be unable to purchase crystals for in-game loot boxes. For the moment, gamers will have to sit tight while EA scrambles to figure out what to do next with their in-game purchase system but hopefully that won't take anymore steps backwards.

True to Reynolds fashion, we have the first very awkward and kind of hilarious teaser for 2018's Deadpool trailer and I'm sure it's going to be all over the internet for the next 24 hours. Take a look at the brand new teaser and keep an eye out for some returning heroes, a short shot of Cable, and what might be the central villain of the film. Deadpool 2 is due out next summer on June 1st, 2018.

Battlefront 1 was heavily criticized for it's lack of campaign and it seems like Battlefront 2 has it's own problems to deal with. In another example of the growing trend of companies misusing microtransactions, the latest Star Wars title has just done that, almost forcing gamers to put a ridiculous amount of play time in order to purchase some of the franchises most recognizable heroes and villains. It appears to be around 40 hours, according to Kirk McKeand, in order to save enough points for Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, which cost an astounding 80K in in-game credits. The break down is something like this, you get around 240 points per game during multiplayer, which factors out to around 250 games for some of the lower leveled heroes which I have heard can be around 60K. EA has already responded to this controvery, lowering the amount needs down to 15k. Ironically, with the new reduction comes the reduction of the end game reward from 20K down to 5K. The article (which I implore you read) gives to staggering figures like the possible figures of 6 months in-game time in order to get all the items available in game. Regardless, EA has created a messy situation and it is hard to imagine that games will be inclined to invest that many hours in a game where the rewards aren't that much to brag about anyway. Star WArs: Battlefront 2 launches 11/17.

update: The AMA for Battlefront 2 did not go well either

Sony is definitely moving in some dark directions with the future of superhero films with the horror themed New Mutants and Venom film and now it sounds like one more famous villain from the spidey-verse is coming to the big screen. Morbius, which would be the third spin-off also including Silver & Black, would focus on the frightening vampire character from the long running comic series. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama are allegedly behind the screen play and there no news of a cast. We are probably a few years away from this film but it will be nice to see Sony play around with some iconic Spiderman villains while the webslinger himself is housed under Marvel.

Bandai dropped a huge and awesome surprise last night with the announcement of the latest addition to their Tekken 7 roster in the king of Lucis himself. Noctis from Final Fantasy 15 is stepping up to the fight and he looks like a perfect addition to the long time fighting franchise.
