It's been 10 years since we saw the last Ring film in theaters and it looks like this franchise will be getting the sequel treatment. The first film, The Ring, was wildly successful when it debuted back in 2002. Inspired by the Japanese author Koji Suzuki's book titled, "Ring," spawned off a less than stellar sequel and it looks like this sequel is off to a rocky start. The movie, originally planned for a release this year, has apparently been pulled from Paramount pictures schedule and has now been pushed back to the first quarter of 2016. This isn't terribly surprising because, at least to my knowledge, no one has even spoken a word about this movie. Unfortunately, first quarter releases can be pretty tricky as is and for a movie with a 33 million dollar budget and a list of unknown actors with the exception of Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki and Guillermo Del Toro as the executive producer, this movie might need some help. We'll see when we find out more from Paramount and when this movie will hit theaters, early next year.

The star of The Fault In Our Stars, Paper Towns and most recently, The Intern, has apparently been chosen for the lead of the live action adaptation of the iconic thriller manga and anime, Death Note. Death Note follows Light Yagami, a high school boy who finds a notebook that can kill any person who's name is written in it. The anime and manga series themselves have been immensely popular, spawning a 2006 live action film in Japan as well as winning various awards throughout the 2000's. With production to start in the spring and Adam Wingard behind the lens, let's hope this turns out to be a good adaptation that does this amazing story well!

Scream Queen's, the latest from American Horror Story and Nip/Tuck creator, Ryan Murphy, was the sleeper horror comedy hit that no one expected. While the first ten minutes were borderline abysmal, featuring a joke that's so offensive I nearly had to change the channel, the rest of the show got the ball rolling. (relatively less offensive) The pulp throw back to teen comedy deaths paired with a hilarious cast of relevant pop stars, a for Glee idol and one of the more underrated actresses from American Horror Story, creates for a dynamic and hilarious story about a serial killer attacking a sorority house that can only go up from where it started. While some were a little cheesy, one of the best funny/death moments I've seen on any television show, featured pop star Ariana Grande, which you can watch here courtesy of Gawker. Scream Queens will air on Fox, Tuesdays at 9pm.
Let's be honest, the insanely popular app game, Angry Birds, didn't sound like the best movie on paper. Even boasting an impressive comedic cast with it but, it looks like we finally got our first look at the film and it might have the potential to be funnier than most of of us are imagining. Whether this movie will flop and fall into the long list of video game films or be highly successful like the game itself will be seen when the movie release May 20th, 2016. Until then, take a look at the trailer below! The movie received mostly positive reviews and made well over three times it's original budget. John Wick 2 will see both it's directors, Chad Staleski, David Leitch as well as the original screen writer, Derek Kolstad all returning for the project. Get excited for more action coming our way soon!
