Between Earth 1, Earth 2 and the alternate story line created by Barry Allen at the end of season 2, CW's The Flash is getting a bit hard to follow. While the season ends (SPOILERS AHEAD) with Barry going back in time and saving his mother, thus changing the continuity of the Earth 1 story line, season 3's trailer shows a very different version of his relationship's with his former family and team. Whats more, some very familiar villains will be returning to the screen along side the newest speedster, Wally West. While flashpoint is said to not last too long next season, there are some planned permanent consequences from Barry's actions. The new season will debut on the CW October 4th, 2016.
