Holy surprises among surprises! Various sources, along with DC and creator Greg Weisman, have announced that the acclaimed animated series, Young Justice, would return for a third season. The series ran on Cartoon Network for it's first two seasons and was cancelled amid controversial rumors of toy sales among female viewers. The claim was later refuted by Weisman himself, stating that Mattel had struck a toy deal to fund the series and since the toys weren't selling, the funding was eventually pulled. After petitons, crowdfunding efforts, and plenty of complaints, it looks like the series will be making its way to its third season, possibly airing on the streaming service Netflix, that currently has the first two season available now. Get ready for more Dc hero action!

Happy N7 day! The Bioware holiday has been long teasing fans with promises of big news and they certainly delivered. Dive into the new Pathfinder and strange enemies in the the first official cinematic trailer for 2017's Mass Effect: Andromeda! Marvel's second film of 2016 gives us our latest addition to the growing Super Hero franchise, in Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and it's far from anything we've seen before. Strange, a once gifted surgeon, goes on a quest to find a way to restore full functionality to his hands that were damaged in a car wreck. Along his mystical journey, he gets mixed into an evil plot, with powers out of this world and dimension. To be frank, the comparison's to 2010's mind bending "Inception," are aesthetic a best and frankly, just not true. Doctor Strange managed to build on that 4th dimension, weirdness that we briefly experienced visually in Ant Man, but took it far beyond anything else we've seen in a comic book movie so far. The film settings, magic, ad especially the fight scenes, are a fantastic treat coupled with fast paced special effects. Accompanied with an almost hypnotizing score from composer, Michael Giacchino, Doctor Strange manages to find it's own voice among the sea of endless super hero films. Also, anyone who doubts the casting choice of Benedict Cumberbatch need only to see him in this role. He brought a level of wit and humor that offset this, grim at times, film. While Strange (like many others) fell to the super hero trope of (small spoilers ahead) having a giant, purple, floating cloud bringing the world towards the brink of death, the action, cast, and brilliant visuals are completely worth it. I not only encourage people to see this film, I believe it's best seen on the biggest screen you can find to really capture the "awe" that is Marvel's latest. This is one theater experience you don't want to miss.
