Over at Kotaku, writer Luke Plunkett highlighted one of gamings more frustrating recent trends in the last few years. Pre-order exclusives. It's a well known fact that buying a game through a certain retailer, or digital copy only may give you bonus or exclusve content that you won't be able to gain access to any other way. Some come in a small aesthetic item or weapon, like Blizzard's Diablo 3 and other comes with an insane amount of options. This chart, detailing Watch Dog's pre-orders, shows exactly what a mess the industry is making per-ordering a game for consumers. In total, you'd only need to buy 4 versions of the same game to get all of the additional content but many fear in the future that this could branch off to bigger sections of the game being only made available if you get the preorder version or through a specific medic. If you're planning on getting everything for this up-coming title, I suggest you study this chart heavily to make sure you're getting the right edition.
