As to not anger the Gods of cinema, I'm going to keep this post completely spoiler free and instead just highlight a few impressions I got from the film. First and foremost, the Russo brothers had a near impossible task. To not only join (nearly) every major hero in the current Marvel Universe but to walk this movie into a sequel while also preserving the forward trajectory of Marvels expanded Universe. This includes confirmed films like this summers Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel. The movie gets to the action and some surprising deaths pretty quickly and does a very good job of not slowing down too much. While there are multiple moments in the film featuring random pairings and first time introductions between multiple heroes, the action sequence are fantastic and the trailers don't even scratch the surface of some of the stuff we see. There is one specific scene between villain Thanos and (removed name because I don't want you to know what its coming) that features an absolutely incredible fight sequence. It is also no secret that when the movie screened earlier this week, twitter was ablaze with reactions praising the films ending and I have to say, it is far superior than what most comic book films accomplish as well as what a majority of Marvel films have pulled. Speaking of the mad titan himself, Brolin makes for an incredible and memorable villain, a far step above a majority of comic book antagonist. There are more than a few shocking moments and the film ends leaving you with a lot of questions, more importantly who is going to come back when Marvel is ready to move on to their next phase. All in all, Marvel has been on a steady uphill climb with their last few films, Guardians of the Galaxy 2,Thor: Ragnarok, and the box office shattering Black Panther and they are definitely in position for another hit. Make sure to catch Avengers: Infinity War in theaters now.
