![]() Sony has finally confirmed the rumored "slim," version of their current console, the PS4, but that wasn't the only surprise they had in store for us today during their press conference. The newly announced, PS4 Pro, was shown today as well, packing HDR and 4K resolution, promising a more sleek gaming experience. All former consoles will receive a free HDR upgrade but not all 4K compatible games will deliver the same resolution on the new slim model, which will replace the current line of PS4s on the shelves. Titles like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Shadow of Mordor will be able to make use of the 4K output as well as some highly anticipated future releases like Final Fantasy 15, Naughty Dog's Spider Man exclusive, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. The press conference also gave us some amazing game play footage of Mass Effect with a promise of more to come on N7 day, November 7th, 2016. Oddly enough, tech news reporter for the BBC news, Chris Fox, confirmed with Sony that the 4K PS4 Pro won't be able to play 4K blue ray disc, it will instead support 4K streaming. The new, slimmer PS4 is expected to hit "most markets," September 15th for $299 and the PS4 Pro will be released November 10th, 2016 for $399 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. Take a look below for the new Mass Effect clip and more and keep posted for more gaming news.
