The month of May is upon us and you know what that means for Pokemon fans. The next legendary Pokemon distribution has just begun! The dark typer Pokemon, Darkrai, is now available for games with the X,Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions of the games. Instead of being obtainable through the nintendo network like the previous months legendary, Celebi, gamers will have to go to a participating Gamestop location in order to pick up a card to the Pokemon and download it. Nintendo will continue this trend through the end of the year and expect more news for Pokemon Sun and Moon coming later this month!

If you're like me, you've been wondering when the next bit of Pokemon news will be heading our way and now we finally have an idea. According to Pokemon news site serebii, the first actual look at Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon in air in Japan during a television broadcast. The director of the Pokemon series, Junichi Masuda, is scheduled to make an appearance on the Sunday morning broadcast alongside Shigeki Morimoto and the director of the previous releases, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Shigeru Ohmori. This is likely an indication that he'll be directing the release of these two titles as well. Hopefully we'll see some game play footage and possibly be introduced to the next generations three starter type Pokemon. We will likely head more about the game in April's Corocoro magazine release as well! We'll have to keep an eye out for the broadcast when it happens, April 3rd.
Ahead of April's CoroCoro magazine release in Japan, a small teaser has been shown for the newest Pokemon titles Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Previously reported by Pokemon site serebii, the issue should arrive middle of next month and feature a small bit of information, what that is as of now is totally left to mystery. Could we hear about some new features? The region the new titles will be set in or possibly the first images of the starter Pokemon from gen 7! We'll just have to wait and see when CoroCoro hits the store shelves and when Pokemon Sun and Moon are released later this year.
Next up in the legendary Pokemon give away event is the mythical celebi! The psychic and grass type Pokemon was actually part of a distribution not too long ago but is one of many Pokemon being released to gamer's in celebration of Pokemon's big 20th year! Unlike Mew, Celebi will be available through download directly on the DS handheld as opposed to having to get a download code from gaming retailer, Gamestop. Starting tomorrow, gamers will be able to receive the Pokemon via receive gift menu option! Make sure you get Celebi while you can and keep and eye out for a new legendary Pokemon each month this year!
The new Pokemon Super Bowl trailer has been released ahead of it's TV debut and it's absolutely spectacular! Get ready to feel inspired and celebrate 20 big years with the massive Pokemon franchise and check out the trailer for yourself, below. The first of 2016's legendary pokemon distribution has finally revealed details on how gamers will be able to get the rare pokemon, Mew. Beginning February 1st through the 24th, Mew, the first of eleven Pokemon scheduled to be released this year, will be distributed through participating Gamestop locations in the form of a code. Similar to previous distributions through the retailers, gamers will need to enter the code into either Pokemon X, Y, Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby and retrieve the Pokemon as a gift fro m any of the in game Pokemon centers. In the following months, Celebi will be distributed in march, Jirachi in April, Darkai in May, Manaphy in June, Shaymin in July, Arcues in August, Victini in September, Keldeo in October, Genesect in November and Meloetta will close out the year in December. As far as a new stand alone release of an upcoming Pokemon game, no news has been given but seeing as this distribution runs through the end of the year we might not see a new title until 2017. Until then, get ready to add some extremely rare Pokemon to your Pokedex very soon!
After a long time, it looks like we finally know what this little green guy is all about and it has to do with a Pokemon we've already seen before. The Pokemon is apparently a form of the legendary ground-dragon type Zygarde, but with 10% of it's power. It seems that Zygarde has a number of forms from a cell form, core form (seen above), 10% power form, the 50% power form featured in Pokemon X and Y, and a Perfect form that has both blue and red one it's arms, possibly indicating a connection to Xerneas and Yveltal. Pokken Tournament is coming stateside but not to U.S. arcades. Today, during the Pokemon World Championships, Nintendo announced that the fighting title would be coming to the Wii U in the Spring of 2016. They also introduced a new fighter, picture above if Pikachu libre from the cosplay Pikachu's featured in the latest handheld releases, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The game was announced last year as a Japanese arcade exclusive title and was published by Bandai Namco. The games roster currently features Charizard, Gengar, Pikachu, Suicune, Weavile, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Lucario, Machamp and the Pikachu libre picture above. Hopefully we'll see ever more come to the console version of the fighter title when it's released next year. Take a look at the announcement trailer below. Didn't get your hands on this rare Pokemon before well worry not! Diancie, the fairy/rock type Pokemon, will appear again for a very small amount of time from July 24th to July 27th in the latest releases, Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. In order to get it, you'll just have to go to the Mystery gift section in the game during these dates and you'll be able to download it straight to your PC! Afterwards, just visit a Pokemon center with Diancie to get the mega stone. Get excited and make sure you don't miss this second chance!
New corocorco scans have given us a look at a handful of brand new mega forms for the forthcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Picture Above, Gallade, Sharpedo and Camerupt are all getting their own mega forms, bringing the total for the new mega forms up to 13!
