It's been officially confirmed, we now know the title of our next Spider-man film and the release date. Revealed on twitter and later confirmed by Sony at Cinema Con, Spider-Man homecoming will be the 3rd time the series is being rebooted since the original Sam Raimi film hit theaters back in 2002. Through a joint venture with Sony, Marvel was able to strike a deal for on screen character rights, thus allowing for the inclusion of our favorite web-slinging hero in May's Captain America: Civil War. It's also heavily rumored that the appropriately titled, Spider-Man: Homecoming will feature the villain, the Vulture, one we've yet to see on screen that would have been a part of the, now cancelled, sinister six spin off from Sony. In typical Marvel fashion, it's also rumored that some other Marvel heavy hitters might appear in the Spider-man solo film, possibly Iron Man, come next summer as well. Fans are already speculating just what the source for the story of Spidey's latest solo film will be based off of with a lot of people guessing it could be based on the early Amazing Spiderman series. While we don't know much about the film as of now, we do know that Marissa Tomei was already cast as Aunt May as well as Zendaya as a side character Michelle, who's been described as an important character for upcoming films but not a love interest of actor Tom Holland's Spider-man. Spider-man: Homecoming will be distribute by Sony, July 7th, 2017.

It's time to officially start losing your minds people! Ahead of it's November release, Marvel has announced that the first look at Doctor Strange will hit the internet later tonight. Get excited for the trailer to debut in just a few short hours!
The MTV Move Awards are on tonight and Marvel has brought us a new goodie with an exclusive clip from Captain America: Civil War due out next month. Now that Daredevil's done (for now), it's time to look towards the next big Netflix and Marvel project, Luke Cage. We've already known the scheduled release date of September 30th thanks to actor Mike Colter's reveal at the Daredevil 2 red carpet premier but, Netflix surprised fans with a look at the teaser trailer for the upcoming fall series at the end of the season finale. Whether the events from Daredevil will play into Luke Cage is really up in the air but I would be shocked if we didn't see Jessica Jones and the gang pop up in this series given the role he played in hers. Take a look at the teaser trailer below and starting counting down the days until the series arrives in September. Minor spoilers ahead
As far as comic series goes, Daredevil season 1 raised the bar pretty high over it's TV competition bu how did season 2 do? Daredevil season 2 picks up with Matt Murdock's struggling law firm after the high profile case against Wilson Fisk from the first season. With our trio struggling to make ends meet, a brash of gang related murders puts a threat on our heroes and the residents of Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil is an amazingly well developed character but Karen Page and his partner in law, Foggy, play pivotal roles in this season. We seem them both put themselves in peril and pick up the slack that Matt Murdock is leaving behind trying to balance his dual lives. This is only becomes a bigger conflict when new characters, Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher, and former lover Elektra Nachios appear on the scene. The best part about these new characters is their roles are a lot larger than we were intially led to believe, almost the entire story involves The Punisher and the repercussions of his vigilante mission against those who harmed his family. This involves our dark hero in a political scandal that leads to some major tension for our trio. Elektra's story line is a bit more convoluted, involving a handful of returning characters from season 1, both good and bad. There's a big reveal about her relationship with both Matt Murdock as well as a mutual accomplice that changes the tone of the season dramatically. Daredevil spares none this time around when it comes to violence, letting The Punisher have easily some of the most brutal scenes throughout. To their credit, one of Daredevil's strength's is the extremely well choreographed fight scenes making it almost impossible to find a dull moment. There's some big twist at the end that echo implications ahead for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and I'm sure it's not the last we're going to see of certain returning villains from season 1 either. In terms of structure, one can only hope Daredevil continues to get it's own series but, with the planned Defender series coming after Iron Fist and Luke Cage set to debut this fall, we might not see our masked hero for awhile. Full of great characters, insane fight scenes, and a dark story, Daredevil season 2 is a big step up from the first, both in plot and action and one you can't miss. Daredevil season 2 is live just about everywhere that Netflix is offered at this point and without spoiling anything, I can give you some early impressions as to why you need to spend your weekend binge watching this show. You'll be seeing a lot more of the Punisher than you expected and John Bernthal is playing the role expertly. Foggy and Karen play a more central role in this season and even get their hands dirty. The action is over the top and the story line is unbelievable this time. There's even a few hints at some other famous Marvel heroes if you keep an eye and ear out. (p.s. If you're wondering if they were able to out do that "one," action sequence, then I have great news for you) Get all into the Marvel madness this weekend and keep and eye out for a full write up towards the end of this weekend!
Jessica Jones star Mike Coulter may have accidentally revealed the release date for his own solo series earlier this week at a Daredevil season 2 red carpet. The star, set to reprise his role as Luke Cage later this year, stated to reporters that his series should launch September 30th. Whether we'll see other Marvel heroes like Daredevil, or more like Jessica Jones, is really up in the air. This was just prior to Marvel officially confirming Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones as the Iron Fist, which will most likely debut in 2017. Daredevil season 2 goes live on Netflix at midnight tonight with the entire 13 episode second season available. Get excited for some major Marvel action!
Former Disney channel actress, Zendaya, is the latest to join Marvel's reboot of the Spiderman franchise due out in 2017. While her role has yet to be confirmed, the current rumor is that the star will be playing the role of a character named "Michelle," leading many to speculate that she might be Michelle Gonzales, Peter Parker's roommate and budding love interest in The Amazing Spiderman comic series. This could potentially be a brand new character all together so until we find out more, we'll just have to wait and see. Get ready for your first official look at Tom Holland as Spiderman during Captain America: Civil War and get excited when the latest Spiderman solo film hits theaters 2017.
It looks like Netflix has completed it's defenders team with the latest news that Finn Jones has been cast to play Iron Fist in his own Netflix series due out, most likely, in 2017. The series will eventually lead to The Defenders, featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones alongside Iron Fist. Jones is most popularly known for his role in Game of Thrones on HBO as Loras Tyrell. Jones will play Daniel Rand, a martial arts wielder that first debuted in the 70's. Stay tuned for more news as it develops but are you excited for the Iron Fist series? After all, Netflix has done a fantastic job with all of it's other heroes thus far.
Frank Castle is coming to Hell's Kitchen and it's going to be one violent and bloody ride.
