After months of fan speculation and various teases, Blizzard finally revealed their latest hero with the intimidating Doomfist. The character has already wreaked damaged in one of the games locations, Numbani, destroying the OR-15 robots and taking back his power glove, prompting the creation of the OR-15 character known as Orisa, which was the last character Blizzard revealed. Blizzard has also called Doomfist it's first, "real villain," saying that while other characters morals are more ambiguous, Doomfist is purely evil. Take a look at the animated introduction video and get excited for this character to arrive, most likely along side the Summer Games event for Overwatch, in a few weeks.

The highly anticipated Spider-Man Homecoming film is finally debuting in theaters this weekend but how did Marvel and Sony's surprising joint venture pan out. To be frank, no one was overly enthusiastic of the 6th Spiderman film, with the 3rd recast lead actor since 2002, but Marvel has Spidey right where he needs to be. Spider-Man Homecoming is fantastically well done. Full of Easter eggs, surprising twist, and hilarious. Tom Holland as young peter adds a refreshing element to the more serious tone the superhero genre has been gravitating towards. The story line is grounded and manages to flow well without bogging our webslinger down with a series of forgettable arch nemesis. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and the rest of the supporting cast really round out the high school experience, adding even more humor and stress in Peter's life. The inclusion of Tony Stark is done to the right amount, where all of his scenes have their importance and don't overshadow Holland's solo effort debut. Marvel also moved from the Uncle Ben story line, alluding to it but never really diving into something that all comic fans (and casual movie goes), know by now. Marvel did a fantastic job, giving the fans of Spiderman and the Marvel cinematic universe the perfect reiteration of this iconic character and I can't wait to see where he swings to next. This is a film you have to see because it's just a really fun and good time.

While the last Transformers film debuted to a franchise low, the series has no plans of stopping with the next film about Bumblebee, being a spin off film. Surprisingly, the movies a lot farther along than anyone had anticipated, already having found its director in Nick Knight and and Hailee Steinfeld in the lead. The film will follow Steinfeld who plays a mechanic and meets the Transformers, back in the 1980's. The news is somewhat confusing due to the mention of Bumblebee's involvement, turning the tides of war during WW2, which would have seemed like an indication to a film about the iconic transformer but, looks like the studio had other plans. Regardless of the lasting success of T5, Bumblebee's solo effort is ready to crash into theaters June 8th, 2018.
After the second season of the critically acclaimed series failed to surpass it's predecessor, the future of True Detective was in the air for awhile but it sounds like HBO is ready to move ahead to season 3. Work on season 3 has been floating around the net for several months now and the latest casting news comes from Moonlight and Luke Cage actor, Mahershala Ali, being eyed for a leading role. HBO has been pretty sparse on details for the next season of the show and no official deal or announcements have been made but one can hope that the rumor ends up true and HBO is finally ready to move past their lackluster second season.
