To be honest, I'm just lost at this point. Eiji Aonuma continues to fuel discussions regarding the main character of next years Zelda Wii U title and it's, well, it's confusing. In an interview with IGN, they managed to get him to admit that he never said it wasn't Link, but at the same time, no one said it was link either? A lot of people are speculating that this game might serve as a sequel to Wind Waker based on the art style as well as the character model. Maybe we'll see the possibility of playing as a link with various gender options in the net title? Click here to see the comments and see if you can work it out.

The anticipation for the next Super Smash Bros is getting higher and higher as the months go on and after an awesome E3 show, Nintendo has everyone excited but one of the best reasons go be excited is the Super Smash Bros branded game cube adapter, that will most definitely add to the game play and will be available later this year. Nintendo's decision to bring back the iconic controller from the Gamecube was on the of smartest decisions and it's coming for a relatively cheap price with some options as well! the adapter itself will only set you back about 20$ and the controller will be another 30$. There will also be a Super Smash Bros Wii U bundle with both items for a total of 100$, not bad honestly. Not that there's a thing wrong with the joy stick and game pad with the Wii U but its hard to beat one of the best controllers on any console ever. Expect these items to hit store shelves this holiday season when Super Smash Bros Wii U is availble.
During Sony's E3 presentation, we saw a lot of great surprises as well as game previews and one of this years most anticipated titles, Bungie's Destiny, is coming with a pretty slick White PS4 bundle. For only 450$, You'll get a white version of the console with the game, and a free month of Playstation plus service. This along side with the early BETA for Destiny in July and additional DLC is a pretty good selling point for an already great looking title. You can get your hands on the PS4 Destiny bundle on September 9th.
Ever since it's reveal, everyone has been talking about one thing noticeably different about Link and it's mainly his appearance, but word has come from the group manager and producer of the series, Eiji Aonuma, that this might not be Link after all. The character was noticeably different from his green tunic and hat iteration but still resembled the version from Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword and a little bit of Princess Zelda as well. Could this character possibly be an off spring? Maybe, a new original character all together? All that we know as of now is that a great looking Zelda title will be hitting the Wii U in 2015 and until then, we'll have to wait for more information and screen shots to find out if that mysterious character is series favorite and icon Link or if were journeying into the kingdom of Hyrule with a new character!
I've honestly been making jokes about this since Super Smash Bro's Melee came out in 2001 and I literally never thought I'd see the day this actually happened, but it's really happening! Most likely due to Namco's work on the new Super Smash title, Pac Man is making his way to the fight! Also, check for an appearance of a returning favorite at the end! I have to be honest, Pac Man looks like some serious fun to play! Final Fantasy Type-0, a critically title originally released in Japan for the PSP in 2011 and a member of Square Enix's Ultimate Hit's list, will be the next title to get a HD treatment and re-release on next gen consoles. Confirmed today, after years of fans asking for it, the game will receive localization as well as a boost in graphics. The game at the this has not revealed a release date so expect more on this title when it comes!
Right off the bat, Nintendo brought up one of their most anticipated titles this year, Super Smash bros 4 for the 3DS and Wii U. We got a look at some new characters and even an announced release date this morning during their E3 direct presentation! Meet the Mii Fighter, picture above. The Mii fighter will allow players to not only customize the appearance of their character but as well as the move sets between a total of 36 that they can choose from. The main three categories that this customizable new character comes in are close range brawler, mid ranger sword fighter and a long ranger Gunner. This allows for character to import themselves into the game and fight along side, or against, some of their long time favorite characters! Another reveal was made at the very end of the show. After a cool animated sequence showing Link fighting Pitt, from Kid Icarus, he's nearly defeated before the intervention of Lady Plautena, another character from the Kid Icarus franchise. In the reveal video, you get to see some of her attacks as well as hear her voice taunts. While these were the only characters announced today, we did also see that the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros will be available October 3rd, 2014 and the Wii U version will be released this Holiday. Of course, expect to see another Nintendo direct before the games release and until then, hang tight!
A spin off from the popular Super Mario 3D World game comes the new Wii U title, Captain Toad. A game lead by the long time hero himself will take players through a similar plat former as they hunt tricky puzzled levels for treasure. Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter this holiday season. At the end of the Nintendo direct, it was announced that there were a few titles that couldn't fit into the allotted time, Mario Party 10 being one of them. It's only on the showroom floor at the moment and more can be seen around 2:45 here. The game is also said to feature Bowser as the main character.
One of the big surprises came today at E3 and I couldn't be more excited. In a small development video showing off the future of the franchise, a much more open world Zelda was announced for 2015. No title has been given as of yet but it's nice to see that Hyrule will be as large and expansive as it should be! The Wii U is really shaping up to have a strong 2015. Check out the must see video right now! |
