I have already owned 3 Nintendo DS handhelds (which isn't many considering how many variation there are) as well as nearly every other version of a Nintendo handheld from the first Gameboy and so on, and I can say without a doubt, there are 3 more I desperately want to add to my collection. Nintendo showed off, during the Gamestop Expo, three brand new Nintendo 3DS XL consoles all featuring popular game titles. There's a red and blue 3DS XL featuring the cast of the new Super Smash Bros 3DS and Wiii U, a classic themed NES controller version as well as one based on the popular j-rpg series, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. The Super smash Bros version will be available September 19th, followed by the Gamestop exclusive NES controller version that goes on sale October 10th and on November 25th, all for 200$. Take a look at the NES and Persona versions below. Are you going to get your hands on any of these limited edition versions?

After a surprising turn of events that removed The Legend of Korra from Nickelodeons Friday night premiere schedule, it looks like we're moving straight ahead to the next season, Book 4: Balance, a lot sooner than expected. As announced on the Nick webpage, two of the series creators announced that Book 4 will begin October 3rd exclusively to Nick.com and the Nickelodeon web app. Are you ready for more Korra?
Also, The Legend of Korra has been announced to re-run Book 3 in its entirety starting at 8pm, Monday the 15th of September. New corocorco scans have given us a look at a handful of brand new mega forms for the forthcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Picture Above, Gallade, Sharpedo and Camerupt are all getting their own mega forms, bringing the total for the new mega forms up to 13! You can look at the other confirmed mega evolutions here, here, and here and get ready for the titles release November 21st, 2014!
Japanese gamers were treated to a very big surprise this week then the Nintendo e-shop put up a Smash Bros 3DS playable demo. While we have no confirmation of it's release here, we can only cross out fingers and hope that we get to see one soon! (There was one teased by Sakurai so the odds are in our favor) The anticipation is building for this title that's under a month from it's October 3rd release. There will also be a Nintendo Treehouse live stream on twitch on Friday, streaming 8 hours of new gameplay footage from a variety of titles including the new Super Smash Bros. Are you excited to get your hands on this title for the 3DS? I can't wait!
Fans of the Star Wars RPG series "Knights of the Old Republic" who have clamored for the long awaited third installment might find themselves slightly disappointed by recent events. Given certain deals made since Disney took over the reins, odds of the third game happening are very low at best. Now, I hear you. Han said “Never tell me the odds!” But without this pertinent information, gamers might be in the dark on exactly how much they will need to mobilize to make this happen.
Here is why things look bleak: When Disney took over the Star Wars franchise, they gained rights to all aspect of it, including gaming. They also have complete say so over what is canon and what is not…even on works previously released. And unfortunately, Disney ruled that all works not in the films or the series “The Clone Wars” is no longer canon. Period. This includes all the books, classic games such as “Shadows of the Empire”, and you guessed it…“Knights of the Old Republic.” All of these stories are now considered “Legends” and part of theoretical alternate timeline. What we know to be true, is no longer true. KOTOR is no longer officially recognized. I know what you are thinking. “No big deal. They can still make KOTOR 3, fans won’t care that it isn’t officially canon. They just want a good game!” Wrong again! See, Disney gave all gaming production rights to Electronic Arts. However, there were conditions attached. The one that is of greatest concern here is that Disney will only allow them to make games tied into the recognized Star Wars canon. So even though EA now owns Bioware (created KOTOR 1) and Obsidian (created KOTOR 2) has expressed interest in making the new game…neither options matter since KOTOR is not canon. With this in mind, KOTOR 3 is highly unlikely, especially considering that Disney thinks they know what you want and will be focused on tie-in games with the new movies. Is there any hope? Possibly. It was announced some time ago that EA/Bioware was working on a secret Star Wars game described as “open world” using the Frostbite engine. Certainly sounds like something that could be a KOTOR game, especially considering Bioware’s upcoming “Dragon Age: Inquisition” is open world using the same engine. Also, this game was in production before all of this canon nonsense went down. So could it be KOTOR? Could it be immune to the new Disney rules? Maybe. But if it is not, nothing short of a fan mobilization will likely get the third game to surface in the foreseeable future. My advice? Make some noise, KOTOR fans. Make lots and lots of noise. This post will be updated: Since the press conference is still going on, I wanted to post a first look at the new iPhone models. As you can see, the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are considerably larger than what we're use to having take up space in our pockets. Coming with a redesigned camera, smaller size, landscape mode for the lock screen, and the brand new iOS 8 (which will be available to everyone with a 4S model and higher will be able to download) will be available September 17th. The iPhone 6 will be available September 19th in 16, 64 and 128 gigabyte models and can be pre-ordered starting September 12th. (more on this as the conference continues) Update: The apple watch has also been announced. Using the crown (knob) on the side, the watch will be able to zoom and navigate the face of the watch.
Today is another big day for apple as they have another big press conference which, may or may not, show off some new hardware and some very shocking announcements. Will we see an iphone 6 and a possible bigger model closer to Samsungs Galaxy phone? Will we finally see the official reveal of the apple smart watch or another new ipad air model? We're just a little over 4 and 1/2 hours away and you'll be able to stream the entire event here as well as on apple devices through safari.
