Sea of Thieves has been generating a lot of buzz for some time but this years E3 showings were truly a treat. The game that's currently in alpha and has a release window of 2018, is Rare's foray into an open world, Pirate adventure experience that blends co-op and strategy fantastically well. If you were anywhere near E3 this year, you were likely to hear about this game or even see the fun pirate band that sang songs from the game itself. Debauchery and eye patches galore, take a look at some of the E3 footage below and make sure to learn more about Rare's title here. (Note: This is the 4K walk through that will be featured with the Xbox One X, due out in November).

Of the many, amazing titles at this years E3, one that deserves some major recognition is The Artful Escape of Francis Vendetti. I was fortunate enough to meet the creator of the title at an event and hadn't heard of the game prior to this years E3 conference but from the moment I saw the trailer, I knew I would be interested in it. The game's aesthetic is beautiful, working through a world of strange creatures adorned with lights to some beautiful snowy back drops. You follow Francis as he finds himself in another dimension, shredding on the guitar and fulfilling his own own dreams of being a rockstar. Take a look at some of the footage from E3 of The Artful Escape and be on the lookout when this title After what is being reported as a short battle with leukemia, actor Adam West has sadly passed away at 88. Best known for his roles of the 1960's Batman as well as Mayor West on Family Guy, West was truly an old Hollywood star in every sense of the word. While moving from on screen action to voice over work, West also portrayed characters in such notable series as Futurama, The Simpsons, The Boondocks, Johnny Bravo, Robot Chicken, and was most recently the narrator of (now cancelled) NBC series, Powerless. His mark on Hollywood and pop culture will be long lasting, as we say goodbye to an true icon. Below is a compilation of some of the funniest gags involving Adam West, granted he was always funny in everything Family Guy related. (Note: there is, most likely, obscene language so fair warning). Marvel has given us the first look at it's 2018 film, Black Panther, and it does not disappoint. Take a look at the action packed trailer and learn a little bit more about the world of Wakanda in the teaser trailer below! Netflix's Okja is the latest victim in their on going battle with same day theater releases. The filmed helmed by the director of Snowpiercer, Bong Joon-Ho, was originally going to be released on the streaming service and in theaters in Korea on June 28th. The largest Korean theater chains, Lotte, Megabox, and CJ CGV have now banned the film from screening entirely, which is a major impact to the box office revenue for the film, considering those three companies control 93% of the countries theaters. This isn't Netflix's first run in with this issue. Last February, AMC and many IMAX screen refused to show Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, which was ultimately met with low review scores and a low box office gross, most of which came from China. While Okja will be available on Netflix June 28th, movie theater chains are still sending a clear message that they have no interest releasing a film to theaters and streaming services the same day. You can take a look at the trailer below and get excited for this heart warming monster movie. Today marks the first Pokemon themed Nintendo direct and its come with some big and exciting news. This June marks the release of DC's Wonder Woman film, but how does it stack up against the vast array of superhero films being released every summer? Wonder Woman, led by Patty Jenkins, marks the first major studio effort of a female led and female directed film, and they manage to hit most of the marks. The film is easily the best out of DC's new repertoire from their expanding universe. Wonder Woman manages to get a bit of emotion with a lot of action mixed in and that iconic theme music, courtesy of Hanz Zimmer and Junkie XL, add to some of the truley amazing fight sequences. The biggest issue with the Wonder Woman, deals mainly with her enemies. The evil Ludendorf, played by Danny Huston, is able to go toe-to-toe against Wonder Woman with the aid of a simple drug. The real villain (which I will avoid spoiling but will advise you not to google the cast for the film), actually avoids the simple DC formula of having nearly nothing to do with propelling the plot, and actually does serve a decent purpose. Another disappointment is the letting go of Doctor Poison. Her comic book history is a bit mixed but hopefully we'll be seeing more of her role in future DC films. There's also the complexity of (SPOILERS AHEAD), death of Chris Pine's Steve Trevor. While heroic, the fact that we know Wonder Woman gave up helping mankind sort of makes his death feel like a bit of a dramatic let down. Opting to not have him killed by the movies main villain, one would believe his heroic sacrifice would have inspired her to believe there is some good in man kind. Instead, she does the opposite and stops fighting. While the origin film has drawn strong comparisons to Marvel's first Captain America film, it doesn't get quite as atmospheric. Unfortunately, the movie begins and ends with the WW1 photo of Diana and her company that we see in Batman v Superman and sadly, the entire movie feels more like a trip down memory lane. We don't get nearly enough time in Themyscira, the homeland of Diana, which featured some of the best fighting in the film. It's also a shame considering the film rounded up quite the cast for the Amazon's, just for us to leave the island and never look back. All in all, Wonder Woman is a strong film, with some plot and villain issues, which seem to be a recurring theme in DC films. While we have several more origin stories coming from DC, Wonder Woman's solo effort is making a killing in the box office, which is good after Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad both under-performed by the end of their respective runs. All in all, Jenkin's Wonder Woman is a fun film, that manages to correct some of DC's mistakes, but falls short in some other places. It's a hell of a ride in theaters and that theme song will be ringing in your head for days. Go see Wonder Woman in theaters now!
