Pokken Tournament outsold another popular fighting franchise

5/15/2016

Fans have spoken! In the new releases for the big fighting titles, one has surprisingly taken over another with a long history and fan base behind it. Even though the PS4 is dominating the market in console sales, Nintendo's Pokken Tournament has sold more copies on the Wii U console than Capcom's Street Fighter 5. This is impressive considering how far behind in sales the Wii U console is behind PS4 and the fact that the fifth Street Fighter is also available on the PC. Pokken Tournament has sold an impressive 680 thousand copies while Street Fighter 5 sold 670 thousand over both system and PC. Make sure you get your hands on this extremely popular fighting title while we wait for Pokemon Sun and Moon's release in November.
