Episode 7 is still making it's impressive run in theaters across the globe and all eyes are on the sequel but it looks like a shakeup in scheduling sent the internet into a frenzy this week when Disney announced a delay for Star Wars episode 8. The upcoming sequel, led by new director Rian Johnson, has been pushed back from it's original release date of May 26th, 2017 to December 15th, 2017. While not a big move, it seems like the best one considering how successful The Force Awakens has been over the holiday season obliterating records and the first of a series of spin off films, Star Wars: Rogue One is also set for another December release coming this December 16th, 2016. In it's former place, the next installment in the Pirate franchise, Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is taking it's beginning of the summer slot. In all honesty, Pirates feels a lot more like a summer blockbuster than Star Wars does so I'm glad for the move and a little time might be good to perfect the film that's script made JJ Abrams regret not sitting behind the directors chair for a second film.
