Super Smash Bros has had on giant year, from Amiibo figures launching, to two different console versions arriving all over the world on the Wii U and the 3DS, but series creator Masahiro Sakurai has delivered some bad news to games just before the holidays. While not directly ruling out the possibility of their being another game in the series, Sakurai stated, “With both Melee and Brawl, I made those games with the thought that there wouldn’t be any more sequels. Thus, I really can’t deny the chance for another. However, as for myself, I don’t think there will be.” While its hard to imagine that the fastest selling game on the Wii U console won't receive a sequel, Sakurai might not be involved. He does, however, raise some good points that the game can essentially only move forward, not being able to cutback on features or the already 5 0character roster. Regardless, we probably won't see another Super Smash Bros title for awhile especially when you take into account that the previous Wii title, Super Smash Brawl, was released 7 years ago. Only time will tell, can Super Smash Bro's benefit from some new hands taking over the wheels or will Sakurai surprise us once again by returning to the series and creating another title?
