The Flash ended it's second season with a fantastic finale but the last 10 minutes might have been the most shocking thing to happen this season. (Full spoilers ahead) After a season long battle with Earth 2's Zoom a.k.a. Jay Garrick a.k.a. Hunter Solomon, the finale pitted to two greatest speedsters in a race after a plan to capture him goes awry. We find out that Zoom had the ability to run backwards in time and create copies of himself, thus finally explaining how he seemingly killed a version of himself in front of the Star Labs team earlier in the season, by pulling his Jay Garrick form through a time warp. In order for Barry to stop Zoom plot of using both of their powers to generate a machine powerful enough to destroy the earth, The Flash runs back in time creating multiple versions of himself to offset the polarity, thus upsetting the Speed Force which prompted the speed force ghosts to come and drag Zoom away. At the end, we see out heroes at Star Labs finally revealing who Hunter Solomon (Zoom's real name) had captive wearing an iron mask throughout the season and it was none other than Barry's father. Dr Harrison Wells, Jesse and Jay Garrick leave for Earth two while everyone else settles in the Allen household. After a touching moment between Barry and Iris expressing their feeling for one another, The Flash takes off running back through time arriving outside of his mothers house just moments before her murder at the hands of Eobard Thawne, season 1's Reverse Flash, not only saving her life but erasing the version of himself that existed in that time line. As for season 3, it's hard to know just what;s going to happen know that Barry's created an alternate time line which will no doubt have drastic changes in the future. The Flash will return for a season 3 next year.
