Bungie is willing to bet a lot of gamers are going to pick up their next gaming franchise, so much in fact that a new sale figure that has surfaced might show that their 2014 release, Destiny, might be the most expensive game ever created, just standing at 500 million after development, marketing and the sort.. The game has been largely talked about as a flagship title for the next gen consoles with an impressive show at 2013's E3. Being described as a "shared world shooter," Bungie and Activision are aiming to create a game that incorporates both MMO elements as well as a strong first person shooter. Some fans have expressed their disinterest with the game, Bungie being developers of the famed Halo series for the Xbox have partnered instead with Sony even going as far as offering additional and early content for the PS4 but, it's been one of the largely talked about up coming titles this year. While this news isn't entirely surprising, Bungie is planning to stretch the longevity of their Destiny engine to a ten years and if their gamble pays off, that might just happen. Only time will tell if this speculated amount of money going into Destiny is going to pay off. Destiny will hit store shelves September 9th, 2014 for the PS 3, PS 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
