Avengers: Age of Ultron has a new and very dark trailer. While a lot of the scenes are close to the first trailer we saw, pay close attention to the snow fighter scene that has a lot of new footage of Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye as well as what I assume to be Ultron's introduction. Take a look and get ready, this is going to be a wild ride! DC's villain led Suicide Squad, set for a 2016 release, is beginning to flesh out. As Hollywood seems like a constant revolving door of rumors, it looks like Margot Robbie, who was recently "in talks," to start in the live action adaption of Ghost in the Shell, is now being eyed for Harley Quinn. If that wasn't exciting, fellow A-lister Jared Leto is rumored to star at the films version of The Joker. It'll be surprising to see what happens with Leto, as he'll be filling big shoes being the first actor to take on the role after the late Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight franchise. As for the Ghost in the Shell film, the latest rumor is that, Avengers and Lucy star Scarlett Johansson, is now being offered the role. We'll see who ends up where but lets hope for the best. Personally, I think Leto and Robbie are great choices.
Blizzcon, the semi annual convention hosted by game developers Blizzard, debuted their first new franchise in 17 years, a team oriented first person shooter title, "Overwatch." Along side a new Pixar quality like trailer, Overwatch will center on 6 v. 6 mayhem, offering a departure from the normal "rack up the most kills," that we usually see in FPS titles. It was also revealed that when you start a game, you won't be locked into that character, allowing you to change if you die in game with your character to another one, thus adding another element of strategy. The roster, like most Blizzard games, features a handful of creative and eclectic heroes to play as. Take a look at an official image below and the cute and hilarious trailer! Also, check out some awesome game play footage here! According to the Moviebooks twitter page, our first look at the Ant-Man villain, Yellow Jacket, has leaked. Darren Cross, pictured above, will be played by Corey Stoll (The Bourne Legacy, This is where I leave you) and will play opposite Paul Rudd in next summers big blockbuster. While it's yet to be revealed how the plot will play out, there is a rumor that another genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist's company might play a pivotal role. Be on the look out for Ant-Man opening July 17th, 2015 and take a look at the alleged leaked image below. Personally, I hope this is the official costume, I love the updated look.
I have been heavily criticized for saying that this was my personal favorite Legend of Zelda title. So, on this day, after years of waiting, I feel ecstatic! Nintendo has announced the a 3DS remake just a year after their Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds, title, to be released in the spring of 2015 and I couldn't be anymore excited! Check out the trailer below detailing the special edition and what bonus goodies you'll find! Are you ready to dive back into a classic? While I spent some time out of town, it seemed like the re-release to one of my favorite movies faced the test of time over the weekend and it looks like it didn't stand well. It did so bad that it actually landed itself pretty high on the list for the Worst Wide Opening for a Box Office Film, ever. Reeling in just nearly 315$ per theater it showed at, the movies it sat behind Oogieloves In The Big Balloon Adventure and the 2008 animated film, Delgo, which featured cover art so horrific, it stained my mind, leaving me horrified at even talking about this strange movie. If we're being frank, the series that crashed and burned after a long drawn out 6 sequel run has probably not left many fans as excited about the movie than I once was. It also doesn't help that the movies been out so long that there's no way you haven't had the twist spoiled by the sequels which, lets face it, takes the thunder from the storm. The times have changed and so have the face of horror, so, on the long list of accomplishments that came from the Saw franchise, it looks like sitting at Number 3 on the Worst Wide Releases list is another one. Enjoy this hilarious Honest trailer below and reminisce of a greater, sequel-less, time. Be Warned: The video below features footage from the films that is lightly censored but may make someone a bit weak, be careful or fast forward through the gory stuff! |
