Rarely, and I do mean once in a blue moon, I'll see an online trailer for a tent pole blockbuster that will actually give me chills. Tonight, what appears to be the final official trailer before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has done just that. Please, take a look and be thoroughly impressed by what will no doubt be one of the biggest film openings of 2015. (If you haven't purchased your tickets, you're not a lone seeing as just about all major ticket sale sites have crashed) Monday is quickly approaching and if you're a Starwars fan, it looks like you'll have a lot to be happy about. Aside from the release of the theatrical poster (seen above) for The Force Awakens, it looks like tomorrow we'll be getting a new trailer as well as the first sale of tickets (which are no doubt going to go fast). Make sure you keep an eye out and get ready for what might end up being the biggest opening of the year.
While this is still a great weekend for movies, it looks like this film based on a popular children's book franchise is on it's way to the number one spot. Goosebumps follows Zach (Dylan Minnette), a kid who's moved into a new town of Madison, Delaware with his mother looking to start fresh after the loss of his father. Upon getting settled, he meets a mysterious and mean neighbor (played by Black Jack), who's daughter Hannah (Odeya Rush) quickly falls for him. After Zach suspects foul play in the strange house hold, the unlocking of an original manuscript of one of famed author R.L. Stine's Goosebumps novels, unleashes a giant monster and mayhem and hilarity ensue in this small town. To get right to it, this movie is absolutely hilarious. Featuring a great supporting cast of Amy Ryan, Jillian Bell, Ken Marino and the hilarious Ryan Lee as Zach's new friend, Champ. The visual are great and the movie moves along well and there's even a hilarious joke about another horror author by the name of "Steve King." It's a nice, family oriented horror film that has enough funny moments and freights to keep you entertained the entire way through. Also, there's a surprise cameo that I can't spoil for you but you'll want to keep an eye out. Make sure to check this film out!
Playstation's best platform gaming hero and side kick are back for their first full length trailer! Take a look at the Ratchet and Clank trailer below and keep an eye out for plenty of easter eggs from the gaming franchise. If this movie is half as hilarious and fun as the titles were, it'll be a big hit come next April! The box office season has been dry but with Bridge of Spies, Ghost Busters and the latest from Guillermo Del Toro, Crimson Peak, there might be something to drive movie goes to the big screen and the latter might be the perfect horror movie for this October. Crimson Peak follows young Edith Cushing as she falls in love with Thomas Sharpe and moves into an old mansion in England along with his sister but, she finds out the house holds more secrets than either of them are letting on. Crimson Peak is another gorgeously shot film from the same director who's made Hell Boy and Pans Labyrinth, the atmosphere is dark and moody and at the same time, instantly engaging. The films mixes old horror elements with a modern take and its use of subtly over outright gore actually makes this movie a bit more terrifying then what we're use to seeing. With superb acting all around and some scenes that might keep you up at night, Crimson Peak is definitely worth peeking between yours fingers at. The film is in theaters now and if you haven't already, take a look at the trailer below! Marvel and Fox are teaming up to bring more awesome comic book heroes, and villains, to the small screen in the future and this time, it looks like it'll be two X Men universe series. Hellfire will be based on the X Men universes Hellfire Club, a group of villains based in the 60's ear when both Magneto and Professor X were young. The roster has included such famous characters as Emma Frost, Sunspot, Sebastian Shaw and even Storm. The team was also featured in X Men: First class with Riptide, Angel Salvadore, Azazel, Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw as well. The second series, set to debut on FX is Legion, the extremely powerful mutant son of Charles Xavier. While Hellfire is still being planned, FX has already ordered a pilot for Legion so if you're ready for more comic book action then get excited about these two awesome series heading out way!
Anime might be hard to navigate by the season by I have a few recommendations for you if you're looking for something new or something great to get into!
The first is One Punch Man. To be frank, I didn't know a thing about this series before I watched it other than the main character was bald and his name is Saitama. What I got was one of the most hilarious anime series I've seen in years. One Punch Man features a protagonist so hilariously over powered that he kills a villain with a move called "consecutive normal punches." His biggest flaw is that he's trained so hard, he's able to kill anything with just one hit. The shows amazing and pokes fun at a lot of older action anime series. It's currently on it's second episode and you'll definitely want to give this one a shot. Take a look at a few mother under the jump. There's been a lot of speculation about when we'll see Thor next and it looks like he might be teaming up with another of our Avengers heroes for an epic battle in Marvel's phase 3. Minor spoilers ahead: At the end of the Age of Ultron, we saw The Hulk depart in a quinjet on his own to avoid endangering his fellow teammates and more importantly, Black Widow. This let a lot of Marvel fans scratching their heads with whether or no he'll be making an appearance in 2016's Captain America:Civil War, seeing as nearly all previous avenger heroes and new comers, Spider Man and Black Panther, will be making their way to the film. As of no, the answer has been a no but according to JoBlo, The Hulk might appear in Thor's next solo adventure, Thor: Ragnarok, which is the equivalent of the mythical Norse apocalypse. This is honestly a spectacular idea and hopefully it plays out to be one awesome, action packed film.
Gotham is chocked full of surprises this season with the latest being this iconic character actor joining the cast. Paul Reubens, better know as Pee Wee Herman, will be joining the Dc comic series as none other than the villain, Penguin's father. Hilariously enough, Reubens has actually played Tucker Cobblepot, The Penguins father, once before in Tim Burton's 1992 film, Batman Returns. Either way, Gotham is off to one seriously good start and I can only imagine what kind of mayhem we'll see with Reubens on the screen!
