The next Zelda title is adding more than a few surprising characters to the mix. Agitha from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess is has been added to the Hyrule Warriors roster. This news comes from the Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, along side the announcement of a character named "lana: the white witch," a brand new character created for Hyrule Warriors who uses a spell book to create walls to push enemies and can cause them to explode as well. Zant and Argorok will also appear in the game in some fashion, most likely NPC's. While it hasn't been officially announced, the rumor is that Hyrule Warriors multiplayer with make use of the game pad as well as the television screen but there is speculation that you may only be able to play as one character on the game pad while in co-op mode. Hopefully not since this would force one player to miss out on a great game play experience with all of the character options available. Look forward to more Hyrule Warriors news as the games release date of September 26th, 2014 approaches.
I have to be honest, I was pretty on the fence about Michael Bay's second big blockbuster film this summer but this trailer is slowly making me have faith in the rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Check out the brand new trailer below and get ready to kick it turtle-ninja style when the movie his theaters August 8th, 2014. An apparent leak from Amazon France, which has a pretty strong history of revealing gaming news a little too early, (Grand Thef Auto 5 for PC, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and so on) has revealed a PS4 bundle for the remastered and price dropped version of one of their best and highly acclaimed titles, 2013's The Last of Us. As noted, the game was not only the Kotaku and the Ign game of the year, but even won 10 awards at the DICE awards earlier this year. While the console is listed at 429 EUR on the French Amazon page, I'm going to say my best guess will be that this console bundle will set you back at least 450$ when it's available for pre-order. The Last of Us Remastered is slated to be released July 29th, 2014. Will you be picking it up?
In an interview with Gameinformer, Zelda developer Eiji Aonuma spoke in more detail about what we can expect from Hyrule Warriors and the up-coming Zelda title for the Wii U console in 2015. Among the things mentioned, one that caught a lot of gamers attention is the possibility of the next Zelda title offering multi-player functionality.
"The two-player functionality of Hyrule Warriors is actually something that has traditionally been done in the Dynasty Warriors series, but they’ve changed because of the hardware and the second screen on your GamePad. Instead of having a splitscreen on the television, you have one-player playing on the television and one on the GamePad. When I was talking back about making Zelda more than just a single-player experience? That’s something you will see in the future, maybe next year" - Eiji Aonuma Utilizing the game pad is very smart move, one that Nintendo has already used for some of their other titles and can add a lot of new features to whats being described as an "open world" Zelda title.. It will be interesting to see what kind of role will be added with the possible multi-player experience. Feel free to read the rest of Aonuma's interview with Game Informer here. While we patiently await it's triumphant return in April, 2015, Check out DrSteveLove's Game of Thrones Impressions. Ramsay Snow, Varys and Jon are all incredible but my personal favorite is his impression of Oberyn Martell, check out the video featuring a array of characters from Season 4 as well as the rest of his youtube channel. Sony was ambitious quite ambitious when they announced that their future plans included not only releasing the sequel to Spider Man 3 and 4 but the Sinister Six and Venom but it looks like the lukewarm success of The Amazing Spider Man 2 might hold up their release schedule plans. According to a report from Ain't it cool news, The Amazing Spider Man 3 will be pushed back from an originally rumored July 2016 to an undetermined date in 2017. While Sony hasn't released a specific reason as to why this is the case, a lot of speculation is due largely to the fact that the Amazing Spider Man series has not been able to match or surpass the domestic growth of the previous Spider Man films directed by Sam Rami. The movie was far from a failure, raking in over half a billion in ticket sales with its early release over seas but it's still the lowest grossing Spider Man film to date. We'll just have to wait and see what this means for the rest of the films planned for the series and whether or not the other films will see a similar delay.
In a surprising turn of events, the Star Wars trilogy will be moving forward after episode 7 without director J.J. Abrams but they man in his place is one of the most creative and interesting directors to rise to stardom in recent years. Director of Brick, The Brothers Bloom and Looper, Rian Johnson, has been hired on to write and direct Star Wars episode 8 and 9. He even tweeted this funny response from Scott Glenn's "Prayer," when the news story broke. While his Star Wars debut won't be until at least another few years, it'll be interesting to see where these two very different and creative directors take the next set of films.

Capcom's Dead Rising series is set to get it's own film adaptation! While there hasn't been an announcement of a director at this time, screen writer and film producer Tim Carter and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who worked on the Transformers film series as well as Constantine and Salt, will serve as the executive producer under the company that produced Mortal Kombat: Legacy, on video content site Crackle. Dead Risings off beat humor and nonsensical violence make it a great choice for a film treatment and it's certainly one of the best and most hilarious games about zombies. If you haven't, go and pick up Dead Rising 3 in stores now for the PC or Xbox One and if you don't know why, check out the amazing DLC trailer the launched during E3.
