Nintendo is having a big week. After announcing its plans to move into the smartphone games territory with Japanese mobile gaming company DeNA, President Satoru Iwata released a video announcing that Nintendo is working on a new "dedicated game system," with a membership that will include previously released titles from former Nintendo consoles like the current gen, Nitendo 3DS and Wii U. While we probably won't hear more from Nintendo regarding the "NX," until next year, we can certainly speculate on whats to come. Nintendo really used the 3DS as a sort of step between joining the popular handheld as well as their console Wii U and while it worked with some titles, the Wii U failed to gain traction of it's own, causing Nintendo a plethora of financial woes. While the release of big titles like last years Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros for the 3DS and Wii U, Nintendo sounds like they're serious about their commitment to gaming and don't plan on repeating the same mistakes. Nintendo has also been a company of innovation and paired with some of the most recognizable characters in gaming as well their massively successful handheld line and the new introduction of Amiibo's, I think it's safe to say we're all excited to see what they have coming next. Take a look at the announcement video below!
